World's largest telescope to be built in Hawaii

Hawaii was chosen Tuesday as the site for the world's biggest telescope, a device so powerful that it will allow scientists to see some 13 billion light years away and get a glimpse into the early years of the universe.

The telescope's mirror — stretching almost 100 feet in diameter, or nearly the length of a Boeing 737's wingspan — will be so large that it should be able to gather light that will have spent 13 billion years traveling to earth. This means astronomers looking into the telescope will be able to see images of the first stars and galaxies forming — some 400 million years after the Big Bang.

More Treason From The Wing-Nuts

This idiot is insane and delusional ...

Jim DeMint (retard-SC) stands by his comment that health care will be President Obama's Waterloo, a comment Obama derided in a health care speech yesterday.

"I think he played right into my hands," DeMint told Neil Cavuto on Faux News this afternoon, adding that Obama's frequent appearances over the last several days show a level of desperation. "Any time the president of the United States goes after a freshman senator, he's losing his grip a little bit."

He insisted his comments weren't about politics, but renewed his call to block the president's reform attempts.

"We've gotta stop him. We cannot let him roll over us," DeMint said.

Faux News Producer Gets 10 Years for Child Porn

A federal judge has sentenced a former Faux News Channel producer to 10 years in prison for possession of child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Aaron Bruns was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court. Prosecutors had recommended the 10-year term, citing Bruns' prior conviction on similar charges.

Authorities arrested Bruns in February after investigators said he had been sharing pornography on a social networking Web site. Bruns pleaded guilty in May to possession of child pornography.

Bruns covered Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in 2008 and later was a general producer in Washington, covering politics.

Faux News Analyst: As Far As I'm Concerned, Taliban Can Kill Captured U.S. Soldier

Why aren't these traitors in prison?

They are constantly proving their disloyalty to and hatred for America.
According to Peters, Bergdahl's fellow soldiers have reported that he "wandered off" and left his post.
The suggestion that this kid (and he is a kid) deserted is both inflammatory and premature, but let's suppose he did.
Peters would have us accept that he therefore deserves whatever is coming to him, and not only that, but that if we leave it to the Taliban, it will save us "legal hassles and legal bills."
(Seriously: that's what he said.)

A private memo distributed by the repugican national committee calls for like-minded advocates to help defeat President Barack Obama's health care proposals by delaying its consideration.

..in an effort to slow down reform, the rnc advises its advocates to use a whole host of political tools, from organizing town halls, to writing letters to the editor, to booking surrogates on radio and television, to engaging in "street theater" protests outside democratic events. and in a bit of irony, the memo's authors encourage readers to frame the president as the one acting out of political motivations.
